MoparMike10 will become famous soon enough
Default Snapped a wheel stud

I was installing new wheel locks and one of the old lug nuts was cross threaded by the previous installer. As I was removing it, the stud snapped. So what kind of risk am I running by driving on only four studs considering that this is the front wheel and I am running 24" rims with 275/35 rubber?

The stud will be replaced soon, but I am just curious about driving on it between now and a week or two.

You should be ok for a few days. Torque other nuts down to spec.(should be in your owners manual) and get it replaced as soon as possible. No roadracing!!!!!

yeah u should be okay on 4 for the time being as mentioned, not hard at all to install a new one. Remove wheel/tire, remove brake caliper and rotor and hit the snapped one out with a hammer, using a large nut or a bunch of washers (i actually have a toold for installing them but other things work) then the nut tight it down until it pulls it into the axle fully and put everything back together!
