Default 3:92's X 3:55's - MPG?

What kind of fuel economy are people with 2011 Ram's, 5.7 HEMI's around town and out on the highways, getting with 3:92 gears.
Own a 2011 Longhorn, with 3:55's, 5.7 HEMI. Get 13.8 MPG around town and 20.4 over the road at 70-75 MPH. That's with a stubby pencil check during fill ups at the gas pumps. Just wondering?

well from what I've read (cause I was wanting to do the same thing) it's only a couple MPG better in down....a couple less on the highway

I'm almost 100% city driving and have the 3.92 gears. I've kept track of my mileage by the EVIC and by pencil since I've bought it. I'm around 10-12 mpg. Truck just passed 3500 miles and I also put a tonneau on it and I just happened to check it today via the EVIC and I'm at 13.9.

My 2010 4x4 with 3:92's was rated 13cty 18hwy and thats pretty accurate. A co worker has a 2011 with 3:55's his was rated for 14cty 19 hwy and he says thats a bout what he gets....Not much difference.

For little gains, the cost to change the ratio is too expensive and no net $ gains will be realized. Keep it as it is.

I agree, High cost for gear change, too little MPG to gain. EPA Fuel Economy Estimates on window sticker state 10 to 16 in city, and 15 to 23 on highway. Chrysler engineer's must be smoking some good stuff to get the high end of that mileage. I think 13 to 14 in city and 19 to 21 on highway is more realistic.
Thanks for the reply's forum member's.

I swapped from 3.55 to 4.10 for the performance aspect. I lost about 1-1.5 mpg on the hwy. BTW I'm 2wd.

I have 3.92s. According to the EVIC, I get about 21.5 all highway and around ~15ish all city. Now if I feel like showing off a little city gets down near 11ish. Thats all EVIC though...
