So what do you guys think about the aero turbine muffler? It seems to be a bit louder than most. But how does it compare in performance vs the Magnaflow muffler? Now, I choose magnaflow because it seems that this is muffler that could net more power gains over most mufflers out there.
I haven't heard too much about the Aero trubine muffler but it would be interesting to see which of these two mufflers would give more power.
Hmm... It seems like nobody knows much about the aero turbine muffler.
I just wanted to know if their claims were true and their technology.
It supposedly makes more power than the stock muffler. Well, that's kinda lame. Most aftermarket mufflers will make more power than the stock muffler.
I would like to know how this aero turbine muffler compares against a free flowing muffler such as magnaflow, since magnaflow is also the muffler that makes more over power when compared to the rest of the aftermarket mufflers and the oem muffler.
Does aeros muffler turbine technology makes more power over magnaflows muffler straight through design??:thk:
This isn't from a dyno experience or anything, but just looking at it it has slight restriction so would not make as much power as a magnaflow or similar. It's probably nearly as much though.
Oh crap, sorry I have to take back what I said. I was thinking of spintech, not aero turbine. It actually kind of makes sense that it may make more power....I don't know though.
It seems that it is in fact a straight through design like the magnaflow.
If the aero turbine technology doesn't work or if its just a gimmick of sort, at least it will perform as good as the best flowing muffler which is the magnaflow, since it is a straight through muffler.
One thing for sure is that it will be much louder than the magnaflow. The aero turbine doesn't have packing material like the magnaflow does.
Aero Turbine 3030 without the resonator is a great muffler. I have only used it with the 5.7 on a few of my Rams but would not go with anything else. It sounds mean and you should be happy with the outcome. Take off the factory resonators for sure. Go to Amazon.com and search for Aero 3030. Best price I have found is $120.00

What about the bigger one? The 3030xl or something like that. I wonder if by having more or their "turbine techology" would increase the claimed vacuum created, thus having slighly more "pull" than the 3030 and maybe a bit more quieter.
SUBSCRIBED! and waiting for the review! I've always been intrigued by this design and if it wasn't for the Hemi Drone issues, I probably would've bought one a long time ago!
By the way, Aero makes a version with packing as well if you're looking for something quieter.
http://youtu.be/qKx49ADO4mA You tube video of my 2010 Dodge Ram with Aero Turbine 3030. Dry payment, straight start with 3.92 gears. Loud and quick. Love my Aero Turbine.
http://youtu.be/jX6qm57ywk0 Here is a video of my 2012 Ram with Aero Turbine. Not as fast yet as my 2010 above since it has 3.55 gears. But this one has K & N 70series and T.B. spacer with Aero 3030. Hope these videos help

Got mine installed today and I'm very happy with it. I installed a single 3030XL (has built-in resonator) with a magnaflow y-pipe on the outlet side and connected it up to my stock dual exhaust. I left my stock resonators on for now. It's slightly louder than stock at idle and a fair bit louder when you get on it. It's far from annoying and has a good mild rumble to it. At highway cruising speed it's very mild with no drone with the MDS on or off. It was raining all day otherwise I would've taken a video.
Once I finish playing around, I plan to do some mpg testing again to see if there is any improvement.
I would highly recommend this to anyone. I originally bought two with the intention of running a true dual system but my exhaust guy talked me out of it for now.
Got my Aero Turbine 3030 installed a bout a month ago. I really like it. I installed one AT3030 and a "Y" right behind the muffler. I left the factory resonators on. It is plenty load. I think it helped my performance, but it is har to tell, because I installed a K&N intake at the same time. Combined, it will smoke the tires anytime. Last week, I got my D.S. Trinity T-1000 and tuned my truck for performance 93 octane and raised the speed limiter to 190MPH. I only run 93 Octane NON-ETHANOL gas and I am not sure how fast it will run but it will bury the needle past the 120 and just keep on going. At first, I turned off the MDS to get rid of the 4 cylinder drone, but my mialge dropped about 2 PMG, so I turned the MDS back on. Now I am getting about 22 MPG if I keep it below 75MPH. I can get about 24 MPG if I keep it below 55MPH and keep my foot off the accelator. Around town in stop and go traffic I only get about 13MPG.
I like my new truck so much that I am thinking about trading my Lincoln Navigator for a 2012 Challanger SRT8, and adding two AT3030 exhaust and tuning it for performance also.
I have an Aero Turbine 3030 on my 2012 Ram R/T. I left the stock resonators on and they sound great. Pretty loud when you get on it but not bad at all in the cab when you get up to speed. I all so have the D/S Trinity tuner and turned off the MDS so the is no drown noise to worry about. I am not to sure if there is a power increase but it runs good.
I also just bought a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and put 2 Aero Turbine 3030XL with resonators on it. Originally I left the stock resonators on it also, but I did not change the tone enough for me, so I had the resonators removed. Then it was too loud so I bought 2 Aero Turbine AR30 resonators and put them on. Now it sounds great. I did have to turn off the MDS on the Jeep also to get rid of the Drown.
