SS4luck-Bear in mind you might have to go from Billet to Cryo-treatment.

When we went nutso on my dad's 68 Charger, (it has the business end of 1200RWHP to this day), Cryo-Treatment was the only way to go. After breaking a forged crank and a billet crank, it was worth the money.

That hurts

guys I work with run drag boats and I hear this type of thing too often. I guess it's a part of the game. But if it helps, they always seem to work it out and end up with a solid screamer in the end. It's just painful on the soul AND wallet heh

Alrite, sorry I haven't been around. Some drunken idiot (points finger at myself) somehow put his food through my laptop at my nephews birthday party so I haven't done much Internet wise lol.


The crank broke in 2 places. Right in the middle and it broke the nose. It was a Callie's ultra billet and shouldn't have broken quite like this, but a misfire at this power level and rpm is very very catastrophic and forceful. Somehow the rods are still straight, but the block and two pistons are shot. So once again the camaro is on the back burner and it's time to play with the truck


Once I get a new laptop I will post some carnage pics

Oh and last power reading was 1589/1521 @ 7K rpm with another ~1600 or so rpm to go. This was also at roughly 65psi (max we saw on the dyno was a 72psi spike and stable 66psi) this was on a custom C23 blend w/ meth injection

Let me guess, the block damage and the 2 pistons are from the front half. At that power level you have 8 very carefully timed bombs going off for every 2 rotations of the crank. Impressive to say the least!

Actually they are from right in the middle where the crank broke rather than the front we figure it was from te flex of the break and the rotations after.

Once I lift snow white and am happy with her it'll be camaro time again. Probably an iron block filled to the block plugs with another Callies crank that I will have treated this time. I really don't believe any crank would have really held up to a full boost high rpmissfore like that. Can't really blame any certain metal part when the crank trigger breaks its signal like that

If so, that would explain the break in the middle, but the nose! That I would not have expected.

Either way, it sure sucks! That's so might expensive parts that you didn't even get a chance to play with outside the Dyno room.
