Default 295/55 r20 ?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone knows if 295/55 R 20 Nitto Trail Grapplers will fit on a Stock 2010 Ram 4x4 crew. It looks like they will fit, im also thinking of doing the RC leveling kit, but wondering if they will fit before hand or if I should do that first.

Thx in advance.

Also any advice on where to get the best price on the nittos? Best I have found looking around is $329.43. Is there a Sponsor for tires for this site?

I don't know for certain but I think they should fit. They are a little wider than stock but actually a tad shorter also. Personally if you are going to do the level anyway I would just do that first and then go with a taller tire. The 295/55 is actually only 32.77" tall versus the stock 20" tire's 32.99". Not a big difference I know but I just wonder if it would look better with a taller tire. After the level you could probably run a 295/60 (33.93" tall). I'm sure you could run a 305/55 (33.20" tall) if you want to go that wide and they actually might be a hair cheaper than the 295/60. Good luck!

Cool, after reviewing the sizes im leaning toward the 305/55R20 (33.39 high 12.60 wide 8.5-11.0 rim width.) I wanted to try to make it till my tax return, but im thinking that im gonna need em for when the snow flys

Without the leveling kit, yes, probably so. There has been a lot of discussion about this and a few people say they have been able to run the 305/55 on a completely stock truck but most experience light rubbing at full lock without either spacers or a leveling kit. You do not need both.

Some other factors you might want to think about....I have read that the wider tire might be a little more sensitive to road textures....that you can feel more and the tires pull more on uneven pavement. Also, that tire is about the max width for the stock rims so it will have a slightly overinflated look. I think it looks great but some peeps don't like that look. And finally, there ar stories about it affecting gas mileage. This may be so but my personal opinion is that it wouldn't be significant. I would put money on it being less than 1 mpg if it's even noticeable at all.

Here's a thread with a little info and a few pics.

Also, if you do a google image search for "305/55/20 dodge ram" there are several pics to let you see what they will look like. A lot of third gen trucks and a few fourth gens and most seem to have leveling kits but you can get an idea.

Oh and one more thing, lol. The 305s might throw a little more up on the side of your truck from sticking out a little more. Unless you do regular offroad or gravel driving I don't think this would be an issue but I want you to make an informed decision!

Cool thx for all the great info. Thinking I'll end up putting some paint matched fender flares on.

Depends on what the offset of the rim is. I tried 295x60x20 Nitto Terras with a rim +18mm offset and unfortunately hit the upper control arm. Wondering if U would be interested in these tires.....
