The engineneers switched to a rolling code program.
IOW, solving a single line of code is only good once, the next time you fall back on what you "think" you cracked, the sequence has been re-coded/encrypted.

I wouldnt be surprised if they never crack it.

i was just thinking a little machining and 4.56 would be a better option than messing with an unproven electronic gizmo, some guys have done this, but i am not into track racing so i am not sure if this option would suit your needs.

Chrysler decided that they'd use a rotating encryption algorithm is what I've heard, so even if you break through one, when you reload you have to start working on the next all over again. Actually, if you don't know, it took almost 3 years to get programming for the LX cars with the hemi, people were doing just what we are doing now, getting stand alones, custom piggybacks, chips, etc just so they can have some fun.

yup, i've been thinking, we are never going to see a tuner for our 11's and up, didn't know why though. i have read some guys changed out 11 ecm and installed a 10 ecm. again only read about this on some forums, can' say if it is true or not.

I had a Jet Chip on my lifted Cherokee. They work but not sure if they are worth the money. If you can find a guy selling one for cheap then i would say go for it. Im sure we have all spent a couple bills on crap we dont need or never did. With that being said i did notice a change in my CAI tone. It sounded like it was sucking in more air or something. Plus i noticed a little better throttle response and louder exhaust note. Dont have any real numbers to back anything up.

Why would you get me exited like this!? -_- LOL! I've had one of these "modules" and they are crap. It is not actually retuning the ecu. The one I used was plugged in between the wiring harness and ecu. It only modifies electrical signals going into the ecu.
