looks like the Spartan Eagle has a broader range of power and the other 2 comes on sooner at lower rpms...

BTW if you want a BADA$$ VVT CAM check this out! They made like 89 hp with this cam and with the phaser limiter. All together your looking at $811 for the cam, $100 for the Phaser Limiter, then it needs to be custom tuned another $350, Plus you will need new springs, retainers, pushrods, gaskets, fluids roughly $500-$600 and a torque converter $600 for a cheap one. all together total $2461.00 just for a cam install.

That cam seems wicked RamTex. If tuning companies ever get the computer issues sorted out, that would be the cam I went with. ESPECIALLY IF IT MADE 89 HP! lol I talked to Stu from Inertia and he said the Baby Spartan Eagle should work without a tune. He said the only worry would be leaning out on top. I wish dodge would sort this tuning crap out.

yea the high lsa makes these cams very pcm friendly almost to the point of not needing canned tuners..

If it were me and i knew what i know now and i knew that i was going to mod the crap out of my truck my first mod would be a bada$$ transmission!

I definitely agree an upgraded transmission is a must when modding, but I'm not really abusive on the truck. I don't plan on taking my truck to the track often or racing it. I just like the extra power when it's there. I would like a 3K stall though. I'm not sure anyone makes a converter for the new trans yet. If tuning isn't available soon, I'll probably run the Baby Spartan. Unfortunately...lol

Same trans as ours just a 6-speed should be the same TC not 100% on this though. Just what i read on allpar.com

You might not need a beefed up transmission for a cam install though. It nice if you have the coin but would not put that at the top of your list. FI or stroker then no doubt i would stock up on junk yard trannies.

Yuup Agreed^^^^! If your plans dont involve anything other than a cam then you should be fine with mild supporting mods.
