Default Replacing the fuel pump without any help

How should I do it? I won't have any help...and I don't have a lift.

Should I unbolt the bed and prop it up? Or should I fill the tank full of fuel and drop the tank with my floor jack?

I really need someone's experienced opinion...

I read that dropping the tank, you have to worry about getting the Draw Straw wrong if you don't use a full tank of fuel. I have no idea what all this stuff means, but I'd like to do this job right the first time...without having to drop the tank again to fix something I screwed up.

But on the other hand...I have no idea how heavy 26gal of fuel is going to be vs my floor jack. I think it will work, but this is my first time trying something like this.

It won't be easy, but raising the bed is the easiest way, i truly believe

If the tank is one that has the hoses & wiring up on the top of the tank, it is very difficult to raise it up from underneath, without kinking something or breaking something off

You would need something like a floor jack with something like a transmission attachment on it, unless it is almost empty

Best way to do it is to unbolt the bed & invite friends over for a BBQ
or kids from the local school & offer them some spending money
