Default New here and would like some help with a dessicion

Well guys i own a 99 dodge dakota with a 5.2 liter v8 and love this thing. It rips really good and have always liked the dodges. my brother owns a 07 dodge cummins lifted and modded along with a 99 dodgr cummins we have built and got into the november 2011 diesel world mag. my dad also has a built 06 cummins. we are faily big into the diesel performance aspect but ive always loved to be diefferent and have been into kind of the gas side of the spectrum. i have a built 87 camaro with a 355 that i love. im hoping to pay my dakota off in a little bit and want a new truck but cant really decide whats for me. i love the 04-06 srt 10 pickups and have always wanted one. also the 03-05 cummins trucks have always caught my eyes and the new 2012 dodge 1500 rc sb hemis are sweet but im stuck between those 3. i only drive about 4 miles round trip to work a day and the only thing i really haul is my atvs to go riding. now my brothere lives in ohio and im in ny and its 400 miles one way and i would like to be able to make this trip whenever without totally killing the bank account. now i would like a 4door but its not an absolute at this point. im just kinda looking for some opinions on these three trucks from yall. of course my family is saying diesel but i just love those srt 10s so let me know what yall think!

This is very important, so listen closely...If you're going to remain the black sheep you're going to have to start thinking like a black sheep. Diesel? Baaaaaaad. SRT Good.

Welcome to the forum!

Glad to see that you wound up on the Z. There are different sections of the forum set up specific to the generations if you need help in the future. It's also a great place to just hang around. General Discussions and I've heard of an "off Topic" section.

Not to forget the vendors that can help with any modifications you might like to personalize your vehicle.

Take some time and brows the site, maybe even make a few friends!

Newbie how tos is always a good idea. It might help to familiarize yourself with how-to's on using the site and is a good reference tool for the future. One of the most underrated aspects is reputation. It's used to say thanks to a member that may have helped, or pointed you in the right direction.

The little scales of justice in the upper-left hand corner of their reply has it. Just click on it and add to their reputation.

Also try to remember posting if you have an issue with your Ram and solve it. That also helps other members solve their issues.

Enjoy the site!

Don't buy anything gas powered that can't be tweaked with a tuner, that leaves out the 2011 & newer

If you want to really blow everyones mind, get a Cummins diesel & add parts from Gale BANKS
http://www.bankspowerproducts.com/Ba...mmins-s/36.htm

maybe do something like this

Welcome to the forum,
This forum is full of great looking trucks; packed with great mod ideas and there are loads of knowledgeable and experienced people here.

The SRT10 is a sweet ride, but not known for it's fuel economy. Based on your usage description, a 4th generation quad cab with a hemi might satisfy your specs.

Enjoy the Z!

wow thanks for all the responses guys! these seemed like a really great forum ive been useing for some info witch is why i joined. i do lovvvvve the diesels and believe you me i know they can rip lol its just here in ny diesels getting to be so expensive fuel cost wise its really starting to suck. plus maintinence can get crazy on those things. parts are insainly priced and that was one of my main curiousitys with the srt 10 was parts pricing. i also live in a relativly small town where diesels are starting to show up absolutly eveyr where and a truck like the srt 10 is absolutly un heard of. infact the only one ive even seen withing an hour of this place was one at a dealler about 4 years ago my dad wanted to buy this is whats kinda leaning me to that. i do like the 4th gen hemis but i really only wannt spend 20-25k maxand not really sure i wanna spend that yet lol. i do have a bit before i can full pay my dakota off so im just in the looking stages now. but heres a little back ground on the trucks my family has owned and built

my camaro

my dakota

my dads cummins

my brothers 99
