Default Nav Help

My truck came with the touch screen radio without the nav, I was wondering if there is a disc I can get to install nav or some file I can download, or do I have to go to the dealership and get them to install it for me.

Thanks.

Which touchscreen came without NAV? What's the 3 letter code on the bottom right of the radio?

My guess is to get the nav you would need to change out the stereo to at 430N or 730

I believe it is a 430/RBZ

Talk to the dealer first, but for nav your best bet is either switching out the unit or going for an aftermarket like garmin.

This.

There is no way to upgrade your head unit. You would need to replace it with the 430N.
Not really worth it imo, there are some really nice mounting brackets available so you can position an aftermarket garmin where it will look good.

Also, I have the 430N. It can be annoying always having to "hide nav" in order to do what I want on the stereo, then re-open Nav screen.

Not to mention it will not permit certain actions while the vehicle is in motion, all this can be avoided with having a seperate unit.

Also, map upgrades are more expensive for in dash units I'm told.

Go aftermarket!

Kenwood's Nav is all powered by Garmin and is a blast and easy to use. PLus their headunits are the easiest to bypass the safety features on to be able to watch movies/use NAV whie your driving

That's a hell of a perk. Wish there was a way to do this with the 430N that wasn't spending $250 on a lockpick.
