Fellow '11 Laramie owner as well. I bought mine a couple months ago as well. I take it you are not too happy with it? What are your problems (hopefully they aren't too many to list)? Curious.

Jeez, don't get me started!!!!
i've already been disciplined on here for bashing my new truck !!!
wasn't bashing,just looking for answers!
i think most issues are addressed on the board somewhere.

no tuner yet!!! can't crack the code! i think we designed and built and flew the first space shuttle faster than they are cracking the code!
just pay somebody at Chrysler to slip it out the back door for Christ's sake!!
throttle response
torque management
traction control
trans shifting
floats around like is has a bad spring or strut when u hit a bump at speed(freeway) just feels mushy.
nowhere close to approx gas mileage stated. really wasn't worried about that one !!!! HAHA

why state 400+ ft lbs of torque and 390 hp if every time you mash it it cut's everything off!
we have 3 2011 Ram company trucks. 1 is a V6 and it will spin the tires harder than mine!
i can not break a tire loose from a dead stop unless the road is wet !!!!
just a few things i would like to see worked out.

do NOT update your NAV maps until a couple years have passed
the maps are hardly updated every year

you will just get a lot of points of interest, like gas stations, etc

I updated my maps after 3 years & the 3 newest roads are not on it & that is just in my county

well you would think that if this truck was built in mid 2011 the map program that was in it would be sufficiant- WRONG! not like i'm in the country or something,i'm in Dallas !!! most of the toll road extensions etc are not even on it and they have been around for a while. so was hoping this update would include stuff like that.
tired of showing me running down a cowpasture when it's 4 and 6 lanes!!!!
also left a lot to be desired when i am in the smaller towns or country!
can get a garmin or tom tom for 149 bucks and i think the upgrades are free for life!!!!

The upgrades are not cheap by any means! My wife just bought a 2012 Honda Pilot and they have an update already. Granted the Pilot was built in 12/2011, but you would think everything would be up to date before it left the lot.

I'm seriouly thinking about going back to the hang off the dash, off the shelf GPS that comes with life time map updates vs. this crap of buying 150 bucks worth of disks every year! It's a racket that Navteq I'm sure is just loving.

My wife finds the indash model very cumbersome to use from the get go. She rents a vehicle all the time and most of them do not have the built in GPS unless you do a serious upgrade which she does not get reimbursed for. I think this will just sinch the deal on buying the GPS unit.

This will be my first post. Hi... Usually I just lurk and enjoy reading comments and learning more as I go. I just purchased my 2011 Laramie last month. Anyway, the reason for finally posting is the comment about not being able to break the tires free.

This just confuses me. I can easily spin the tires, on dry pavement, without even giving it much fuel, WHILE traction control is on. With it off, the tires spin enough that it's annoying.

My truck does have the "anti-spin" 3.92 rear as well.

Don't know what else would be different between mine, and the poster above, causing his truck to not want to spin. Anywho... Just curious.

Shoot my 11 Laramie won't spin the tires. Ever! I've tried everything but a break torque. But I love my truck. So it's not an issue. I like the torque management. Keeps everything from breaking.

What are the odds that you will need to get somewhere only to find that the address is not found on your Nav system ??? It may happen once or twice , if any. For 149 bucks you could buy a brand new Garmin with updated map and poi's. Use it when your factory Nav cant find 'that new street' . just keep it in the glove box incase you ever have that problem . I'd rather have something I can touch and feel like a second GPS, rather than just a bunch of new updates for the same money . For every problem there is a cost effective solution.
