Yeah definitely a lot less damage than a regular bumper, pretty sure truck would've been totaled without the replacement. Then again I'm not sure why the bumper is hanging like that, whether bumper mounts are bent or if frame got bent. Just wish my front end wasn't so low to where it let the buck fly up on the hood. I'm more mad about where I hit the doe's head(passenger fender dent) since I can't open that front door. But body shop visit at 8:30 tomorrow morning, should be fixed quick if no frame damage

now Matt, if you recall a thread MONTHS and MONTHS ago about someone building a bumper, he was informed (by our favorite person) that steel on a front bumper will ruin your truck, vs aluminum which is cheap and easy to replace... our favorite person says that steel and diamond plate is redneck hillbilly blah blah blah and has no place in being part of a front bumper.

now to me, that bumper Garner has saved the trucks, but I guess I'm just a redneck hillbilly, who loves diamond plate LOL so what do I know?

sorry to see the damage Garner. glad your alright (I'm assuming? )

So far it has saved the truck. Will no more by tomorrow afternoon though. And yeah I'm fine. Now just upset that it won't be fixed till next friday at the earliest and I can't drive a rental car so while I'll miss out on class next week I also won't be able to do anything this weekend :/

Yeah it did for sure. Damn that sucks. Glad you didn't hit them though lol. Sorry for the thread jack btw

So little update. Dropped it off this morning and if I heard the adjuster right she said $4300 just for a new hood, passenger fender, painting both of those, and then painting the driver side fender where it got scratched by the deer that went on the hood and then painting the passenger side front door which has some scratches I'm guessing from the other deer. And that's not even with the bumper coming off and them finding more damage. And will be repaired in 6 days not counting weekend so friday at the earliest. Should know the total repair cost tomorrow afternoon. And then we'll get into the logistics of sport vs regular hood and same bumper, new aftermarket bumper, or factory bumper depending on cost of each. Hooray for insurance and $0 deductible lol
