GotBrains, you asked over in the LED thread about my 3rd, it is LED like my tails, not sure why it's ghosting but it is. Not as bad as my blue LED bulbs though so not too worried about it.
Cargo On

Cargo "Off", also while I'm driving

you can see it in that night shot of my LED bar as well

Nice truck man, it looks like a beast! I got a headache from reading this whole thread tonight

And does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I VHT'd my tail lights a few weeks ago, and I skipped the compound step, and now theyre not shiny and seem to have dust permanently stuck to them. Can i take the clear coat and VHT off with gas?..or what?

Those LED lights on the headache rack are incredible. Any chance I can get the source you got them from?

Yes gas works. If you don't want to go that route you can use a mild sand paper and work back down to the plastic and then remove the scratches from that sand paper with a fine grit, then wet sand and.start the tinting again. Just make sure you clean and prep very well as sanding all that will leave crap everywhere

Yes, Jaron answered you correctly. But heres some pointers
If you wetsanded prior to spraying VHT just use any rag with gas on it, and with a little elbow grease it will at come off.
If you didnt wetsand prior to VHTing, use a microfiber towel to get tint off. Reason being, if theyre not already scratched up, theres no need for them to be
Ive redone mine like 4 times, and find no need to wetsand them at all. All I did (my 4th time lol) was clean them with paint thinner, spray 1 light coat of VHT, then 1 heavy coat of VHT, then 4 medium coats of gloss/clear on them, and thats it. Of course letting each layer dry for about 10-15 minutes, or however long it took to drink a beer LOL

Yea I wet sanded, then put 3 light coats of vht, then atLEAST 4 coats of the gloss/clear that everyone uses, and they stayed kinda sticky and turned into dust magnets. Its been like 2 months since I did them and theyre still dust magnets

Not sure why everything would still be sticky, as I said when I did my nephews lights, we wet sanded with 2000 grit, cleaned thoroughly with accetone, then 3 coats of VHT with 20 minutes of dry time between coats, we let the 3rd coat dry for a couple of hours, then 3 to 4 coats of clear coat with the same 20 minutes between coats, then we let everything dry overnight and get nice and hard, we then lightly wet sanded with 2000 to knock down any dust or crap that got into the finish, finally we used Mcquires fine cutting wax and buffed the crap out of it and the came out great, finish is hard and looks good
