Yea mines a mig welder, pros will call it cheating, I call it freaking smartness
I got the Lincoln K2471-2, and its VERY useful

Got the same unit, great little unit, also have the aluminium kit with it, but need to change my gaz if I want to use it. Have not tried it yet with aluminium kit, but for regular stuff, great little unit, as long you dont weld more than an 1" at a time, welds are deep and perfect.

No more than 1" at a time? But exhaust work is 2.5-3" in diameter

Ya when you weld, the bigger the welder the longer you can go on your welds for full penetration of the metals. these small units you do about an inch then stop, wait for the unit to rank up its amperage then do another inch, its longer to do full welds but it works if you do it right, most small welding fixes don't require you to do long welds, Also it will depend on your metal thickness also, an exhaust pipe your better off with torches, you can still tack it together with the mig, but you will get a better job with torches. Body work, soft metal work up to 1/4" that sort of stuff, small brackets, tubing, etc are great with these small mig's. They make nice clean welds with the right gas used. Indoors for sure, outdoors, best be a non windy day our your welds will look like spit all over.

I second that...yes exhaust work is much better with torches. But unfortunately I dont have an acetylene tank, i got the oxygen though LOL.
Come to think of it, next weekend Ill cut the muffler off and take it to my buddy's shop and get him to weld everything up
I soooo wanna cut my muffler off today...buttt.....

You have the factory muffler right? Can't remember. But just unbolt it and take it all out. That's how I have mine right now until I get a cutout ordered
