Default Power Locks Not Working- Switch in Cab or Remote

A few weeks ago my drivers side passenger power door lock stopped working. Before I had a chance to take off the panel and replace parts, the three other doors stopped working as well. Currently, none of the power door locks will work with the switch in the cab or on my key remote. The remote will activate the panic alarm and will make the door lock noise but power locks will not work. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ray.

Hi, Ray, and thanks for joining the RamforumZ. I encourage you to stop by the Newbie Checkin section and introduce yourself so other members and give you a proper how-do-ya-do.

You might want to see if you can get a switch and test it. Another issue may be that the 3rd gen uses the instrument cluster for the power door lock control. Start with the fuse, and if the fuse is good, see if a recycler has a switch that you can try out.

Ok I will check out the newbie section and also try some of your suggestions. I also noticed that new lights on the dash do not produce a chime noise. For example I was low on gas the other day. Usually when the gas light comes on a chime would sound. However, this time there was no chime.

For the back drivers door check the wiring from the door to door frame. Common place for broken wires. I would also check fuses.

The cover should have the list of what fuse goes to what. But check them all, just because.

Did you ever resolve? I have a similar situation. In addition, on my quad cab, the door key cylinder does not unlock rest of the doors nor does the vehicle speed increase lock the doors
