Talking Want to start dressing up the engine...

Does anyone have a lead on where to get custom aluminum or chrome valve covers? I would like to also paint the engine cover and have saved several threads on that. Can some folks tell me of the color combinations that they have used? I am going to dress the motor and engine bay in Billet Techs aluminum caps and can. Are their products plug and play?

Also want to drop the truck about 1" and was looking for feedback from those that have done it. Will it hurt the tow capacity?

Lastly, my wheels are dirty all the time. I have had it with scrubbing them for 2 hours a week. I can not wash them everyday. Thinking of powder coating the trucks color onto them. Anyone have an idea of how to do that to the stock 20" chrome clad wheels?

1. bt has billet valve covers i believe although maybe not for the ram. I used wire loom and the bt underhood kit for mine. (see pics below) I also fabbed some half covers to cover up the head and wiring using the charger ones from 3gcustomz and modifying them slightly. but i dont have the engine cover due to a vararam intake setup
2. I doubt with a one inch u would see any loss in tow capacity but i'm sure someone will be 100% on that soon.

3. U can't powder coat the chrome clads. u could get some brake dust shields to keep brake dust off of them.

Billet Tech has all the cap's you need for the RAM. They also make valve covers and coil pack covers for the 5.7L Hemi.

Wax those chrome wheels so the brake dust comes off instead of sticking. Any good hard synthetic wax will do. On chrome, I like Pig Snot Biker wax. Use it all over my harley and it works great on the chrome.
