I believe that people should do whatever they want. I have seen raised and lowered trucks both that I like. I have no problem with lowered 4X4's either. I mean my ole ladies X3 BMW is 4X4 so wth not lol. I'm going to lower mine though. It's a 2WD and the new rams look sick as hell dropped.

Some look at it alot differently.....
To me IMO when I see a Jacked up truck it doesn't appeal to me as an everyday driver. First off you lose so much power to the ground its ridicious because most lifted trucks either have 35" or 37" tires. Then you take the account you see them bouncing all over the place, how can you like that on a long trip? As far as your suspension you wear out the components a hell of alot quicker. It may look cool and be fun for a bit but I always think this when I see guys trying to hot rod/smoking people out with their exhaust in the streets "There just trying to compensate with a big tonk truck because there lacking in other areas", if you know what I mean.

IMO, trucks look best high off the ground, sport cars look best low on the ground. Now, sport trucks...crazy idea...it's like putting a 4" lift on a corvette.

If you want a truck that sits low on the ground get an El Camino. LOL.

A Ram should not have trouble navigating a curb. Seriously.

Although I'm not into lowered trucks for myself, I have seen a few that really turned my head and a few that really turned my stomach. I can say the same for lifted and factory height trucks of all makes and both 2 and 4wd.

It really pleases me that many owners either raise or lower their trucks. That reduces the number of factory height trucks for me to compete with.

My Ram is built for speed, not offroading.
Most lifted 4x4's are not built for serious off-roading either
Heck you cant even get a locker for a 1500's IFS because its too weak.

On 4 DR's at the track my lowered 4x4 can beat a stock SRT8 Jeep
(also a lowered 4WD btw, that was never intended for off-road use)

on my Terra Grapplers in the Winter, it beats everything else

I've been building "Real" off-road 4x4's since I was 19, (30 years)
Roll Caged, Lifted, Locked and Re-Geared for Larger Mud tires, full skid plates, and a Winch. (...not a poser 4x4)

But always Purpose Built and Used, never just for looks.

Larger tires and lifts cost substantially more, get worse gas milage, are slower and less stable with a higher center of gravity.
If you do it just for looks, fine but dont insult someone with a lowered 4x4 when you cant even tell if its a 4x4 or not.

Mine looks no diffrerent than an R/T and is quite often mistaken for one.

A lowered Ram 4WD or 2WD, has better handling, performance, aerodynamics and fuel economy than a lifted one on larger tires.

If we didnt have ice covered roads 6 months out of 12, I would have bought an R/T.
Since Ram didnt build a 4x4 R/T, I had to make my own.

I can agree Lowering trucks are kind of dumb..if they are a dually or 4wd I think they are too rough riding when its lowered.. But my 4x4 is too.. But I can say some lowered trucks look totally badass just depends on the truck!
