Default Cai Question

Hey guys i have an 09 laramie and was thinkin bout a cai. The thing is that looking at the stock setup, it looks like its drawing cool air already from inside the fender. So im wondering what the benefits would be to buying an after market cai would be. Thanks for looking.

check out this thread i started. I have a cold air ram air style scoop in my lower bumper that draws cold air directly into the stock air box. I have noticed quite a bit of difference. I will change to a K&N drop in filter and see what happens for now. I would liike to change to a smoother tube from the filter to the TB though

the advantage of an aftermarket is more air flow and our hemi's need it... my first mod was a dropin...then went to homemade 4" tube to stock box...then ebay cai...then ramhammer.. in each case there was an improvement with the last one a vast improvement..

And at the risk of posting this in the wrong place if you are in the market I've got a Mopar CAI off a 2009 that's available - came off my buddy's truck. He put it back to standard when he sold it. Has only a few thousand miles on the filter.
