the only thing that bugs me is that im spending $1600 for headers when i could spend $500 for pacesetters. Also whats this i read some place else about whether to run cats or not(since the headers come with or without)? I live in western new york and i thought anything '94 or newer had to run cats no matter what?

well the headers came in a few days ago and I ripped off the old cat back within an hour. then i take a loom at the stock manifolds and find that the top left passenger side bolt is broken off. there is no piece sticking out to weld a nut onto and I have no idea what to do.
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

There is nothing, like nothing at all sticking out?

I snapped a header bolt off once in the camaro and got a pair of needle nose vice grips onto a little nub and turned it out.

Other than that I have no idea. That is a total shitty thing to ahve happen :/ At least the passanger side is the easy access side

Okay so after two weeks of carefully pulling out the remaining manifold bolts I finally got them all out. I was then able to drill into the broken bolt and use an easy out to extract it. Today, I finally have everything installed and finished. It sounds amazing!! it is loud when I want it to be and when cruising there is no drone whatsoever. the only problem I am having is the my check engine light came on which I am guessing is because the high flow cats are not doing a good enough job.

youd pry be right about the CEL. Hi Flow cats are more to keep things legal in the "why yes officer i do infact still have my converters on my truck" sense.
