Default 06 RAM 1500, Rancho 9000XLs -HELP!!

I bought a set of these shocks to put on the rear of my truck, when I tried putting them on, the top eyelet didn't fit in the bracket, I tried bending the bracket out, but it couldn't bend far enough. There is a metal tube running through the bushing on the new shock that's not on the old one, should I just try to take it out? What am I doing wrong!? I know I got the right shock.
Please help

Unless your putting them in upside down, you got the wrong ones. Mine slipped right in without a problem.
