Default Diablo Trinity Accuracy??

Alright, I'm getting the truck ready for the 1/4 mile (plenty of mods). This summer will be my first time on a legit track as well as the trucks. Any idea how close the trinity 1/4 mile function is to the track? Should I expect higher/lower times or is it all going to depend on how well I drive? (I'm well aware of timing the lights and trying to have the best gearing/tires for the job). Any info from you track frequenters would be awesome, thanks in advance.

The problem with tuner times is any amount of tire spin will rack up more distance than you are actually traveling.

At the track a quarter mile is always 1320 feet.

My best tuner times have almost always been faster than at the track

With a tuner you have to be sure to calibrate your tire size and check it against a hand held GPS for accuracy.

If you're reading faster than you're actually traveling, you're also going less than a quarter mile. Tire size must be set higher.

Indeed, I have been testing on stock tires. And running a little slower because I've made sure not to spin at all on my trial times. This summer should be good
Also thanks for the info + fast reply

Should be a Good race season,
install your NX plate system yet? I may have some questions for you soon.

Still shopping that one and the Zex kit,

I'm pumped up for a run at the track this Friday, looks like the weather is going to cooperate Finally!

Got my Drag Radials mounted up already and running my race tune all week to keep my PCM at peak levels

I've got tomorrow and friday off so I'm planning to get rocking on install tonight. What questions do you have I've gone over most of the kit pretty thoroughly, and just had a bung installed for my AEM AFR gauge. Going to call Stu at inertia tomorrow and see if we can modify my tune for a 100-150 wet shot. Just cut out my mid pipes and had a custom 2.5 dual exhaust built and summer tires are out of storage and going on before the weekend.

Local guy I know with an SRT10 said 2 degrees timing retard for ever 50hp your shooting, and make sure your shift points stay under 5800 rpm.
both are easily done right on the Trinity modify tune section, He also recommended stepping down to a cooler spark plug. Did you swap your plugs already?

He pressured my all last year to spray mine, and I just kept putting it off. This just might be the year I finally give in.

I put a few questions on your "Nitrous Inbound" thread.

I stepped down already on the plugs, I'll try to find exact model in my email. As for timing, it all depends, I'll be data logging and adjusting for sure.

Can't find the plug model number, if your really interested I'll call the dealer I ordered through. Otherwise you can contact NGK, originally they gave me the number for a precious metal plug (iridium maybe?) I told him I wanted it to be closer to stock and we found the plug I got, good for 7lbs of boost or 125/150shot (can't remember which, which reminds me I better check that 150 wont blow it apart haha).

However I gapped them at the factory gap, in hindsight I should've closed it a little bit more for the bigger shots, but I'm just going to watch and hope it doesn't misfire bad. If it does, going through the plugs again is going to be a pain in the arse.
