Default 4th Gen tire choices, the list is growing.....

ok so i have been combing through the different tires and sizes trying to decide what will fit my lowered 2ws 4th gen qc. I have the stock painted 20s with the stock 275/60/20=33x10.8, I want a tire that is a bit shorter and as wide as i can fit. I have heard mixed reviews on the 305 series tires being too wide or having to use spacers so that option is out. I have narrowed the options down to these sizes
285/55/20=32.3x11.2- the tallest of the options, good width

275/55r20=31.9x10.8- I like the over all height but same width as stock

285/50r20=31.2x11.2- the shortest of the options fear it may be too short, I don't want huge gaps in the wheel wells.

295/50/20=31.6x11.6- this seems to be the tire i am leaning toward so far. but it is the widest, and not sure of fitment.

I searched the forum and didnt find anything on a 4th gen with the 295/55/20 option especially on a lowered ram. I have seen the pics of the red 3rd gen but fear the tire fitments will be off a bit to body styling.

I would love to see pics of these tire options on a 4th gen and any info on what tires to stay away from, I have been leaning towards the faulkens, nitto, or toyos.

I know i may be over thinking this, but i kind of do this with every upgrade on the truck, I research shop and debate it for a while to make sure i made the best choice.

285/50 would be awesome with a little extra drop in the front and back, like a 3/5 setup!

There is also
285/45 22 and
285/40 22 for the bigger wheel guys, as well as a
305/40 22

very nice setup , but thats well over twice my budget for new tires right now. I am really leaning towrds the 295/50/20 unless i get feed back from here that they just wont fit. I really want to find some pictures of them on a lowered 4th gen first with stock wheels. but it looks like I might be the first.

I wouldn't do those on the front if you are dropped. Stick with the 275/55 for the front and do the 295s in the rear!

hey timmy can you give a bit more info on why not to use the 295s on the front? Too wide i guess? where would they rub? I had actually considered using something even wider in the rear like the 305s but that limits options for tire rotation. whats your take on the 285/50/20s?

I know the 305's rub pretty bad and my stock 275/60s rub, I wouldn't chance it.

where are your tires rubing? I have 275/60s right now too and they only rub in the upper arch of the fender liner when i hit a significant bump. the 295/50s are wider but shorter too. my stock tires are supposed to measure 33" tall if you use a tire calculator but real world measurements show 32" and the 295/50s are supposed to measure 31.5". the only place in was worried about rubbing was on the upper part of the steering knuckle.
