Default BBK shorties, Xpipe, SLP lm1

Well I finished ordering my exhaust today. Im going to run true duals from the the bbk shorties through a xpipe then to a pair of slp loudmouth1 mufflers(resonators). Goin to cut the stock resonators out too. What you guys think? I was goin to get some spintech super pros but my buddy with a gto said i was copying him so i decided to change lol. I love these mufflers they sound great on everything and never really seen em on a truck especially with true duals and a xpipe. I should have everything installed by next month and will post plenty of vids and pics. Might even do a wright up on the header install.

I like the plan. Are those the 1 3/4"round port BBKs or did they already update them to the D-shaped port design to match the heads' exhaust port. I guess it's not a big deal if you don't mind that they don't match up...the header is about 1/8" narrower because it's round and not D-shaped like the exhaust port. It was pointed out to me by another member so I layed a FACTORY gasket over the header.

I'm sure they are better than the factory manifolds but if you are trying to get every hp outta her I'd ask BBK when they plan on releasing the new design. I didn't want to wait so I swapped mine for JBAs. Not trying to be a downer on your project just want you to have all the info before tearing your truck apart for the install.

Those LM1s are going to drone like all hell man. I had them on a TSP X pipe setup for a while on my camaro and it took me less than 500 miles to want to blow my freaking head off! Plus they are a rather expensive resonator.

Tell your buddy with the spintechs that he has good taste and immitation is the highest form of flattery and run them anyway! Just please please for the love of god dont run LM1s...

I wouldnt worry too much about the headers having a round port vs the D shape. The Mopar gaskets don't even have the D shape. The Mopar gaskets are also larger in size than the actual opening of port. So you can't get an accurate comparison. The jba do have a D shape but are larger that the port on the cylinder heads, so kinda defeats the purpose of being "port matched" IMO.
OP, Good luck with the setup and let us know the outcome.

Haha ya I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer more just trying to help ya before hand. The volume of the LM1s is awesome but for some reason they just have a nasty rasp (at least with LS motors). I'm excited to hear your results
