Will this mod delete the factory warenty? I pick up my 2012 2500 Mega Cab Cummins in Oct when I get home on leave from Afghanistan. This is a mod I may consider to get a little more gas milage and power, so long as it is easily reversable for warenty purposes.

Yup unfortunately a tuner (which is needed to erase the codes that will be tripped by deleting the dpf/egr) leave a footprint and the dealer will make note.
Bear in mind that they would ultimately have to prove that the product (tuner) CASUED the failure to deny you warranty, bet they have deeper pockets than 99.8% of the consumers out there so it could end up in bad way if you had a fuel pump failure etc...
That being said, after 38,000 trouble free km's on my '11 Laramie, I just had the deletes done and added a H&S Mini Maxx tuner and Airaid intake.
VERY nice improvement in throttle response, builds more boost, and quicker, used to get a fuel knock under full throttle even on stock tune, that's eliminated.. Only 102mi of driving at this point but also only took 3.5 Cdn gal to fill, that's 29.5mpg :smile up:
Anxious for a work trip to see what actual mileage will be, incase this was a fluke of sorts, will chime back in. Pre-mods my best was 22mpg hwy...

Well nice weather has kept me on the Harley vs the big rig, but managed to get 400 km city driving on it, managed a respectable (I think anyways) 18.44 mpg hand calculated. Pretty happy with that for sure!! Bear in mind Cdn gal is 10% larger than a US gallon..
Have a work trip planned for next week, be 900 km/560mi with a 1200 lb load in the box one way, and coming home have a 4k trailer with 4-8k load (all depends on my sales skills hahaha).
I'm extremely interested to see how it handles the trip. Plan on using the hot and mild tune both there, mild and stock loaded coming home..
(No pyrometer yet, playing it safe..)

GRam, curious to hear how your after-mod trip turned out. I just bought a 2012 Laramie Longhorn and I am weight the pros and cons of doing any mods as well. Mainly I want to be sure it will pay off enough to risk the voided warranty and cost of the mods. Thanks, Pete
