this is why black hemi and i have differing opinions, i'm a 0-60 guy, he is a track guy. his mods, to me aren't really needed for what i like in my 0 to 60, yet on the track his mods can be measured on the clock, i just like my butt dyno.

Hey Huntergreen just fyi an upgraded/higher stall torque converter is probably the best upgrade you can do for your 0-60 time. My Circle D TC takes me from 0-3000rpm in a split sec and puts you right in your peak hp/tq right from the get go vs the stock POS where you have to wait for it to build....this is where Torque Management really kills you more times than not.

So out of all this I guess I need a stall tourque converter. Where did you get yours and did you put it in your self or a professional?

The most common on this forum are circle d and edge. Most go with ~2,800rpm stall. I put mine in myself, took a little over half a day. I'd plan on a full day to be safe. A transmission jack and a friend's extra set of hands is pretty much a must for it to go well. And of course a nice set of sockets, wrenches, and extensions helps. Really not a hard of a job, though.

They have to definitively prove that your mod caused harm to the factory supplied parts in the event something goes wrong with another part in the drive line, or they can't void your warranty. If your clutch plates go bad, ok you might have to take the blame, but if your diff bites the dust on the highway they can't prove it was because of the part you added.

But then again if your diff bites the dust why would they be looking at that trans? Hopefully you get my point

WOW I sure do enjoy reading these posts. So many are helpful and have good ideas. The thing I have noticed most is the people who don't want to or can't afford to put the $$ into the mods have to try and tear down the mods that people suggests. I have found them very helpful and found many knowable people on this site, Thanks to everyone who dose these mods and tells us how they have worked and gives us good advice and suggestions on what to try! And I love my Ram!! Thanks guys!!

^Agreed.....most people who mod their trucks tend to have the money to repair them if need be anyway. You'll see that everywhere you go, there's always gonna be people talking bad about something they have no experience with. Also like InDeepWaterBlue was saying they have to prove the mod caused the problem....I've modded every vehicle I've had in some sort of way and never had an issue with warranty's, not saying I won't ever, but look up the Moss magnuson Act if you don't believe US.

Found a good article....
