Naw...I prefer more of a low-key, form-follows-function approach.

Thanks, I agree it looks good! I was skeptical about the "function" part at first until I got the assembly mounted and had a thorough look at the incoming air path. I'm now convinced that it will work well as a CAI/Ram intake because it seals to the hood well and vehicle forward motion MUST increase incoming air pressure for some ram effect at speed. I disconnected the battery to reset the fuel tables and the ECU is "learning" now. Installation was yesterday and it was easy. I'll know about performance increases soon.

Well now I'm thinking of getting one of these. Where did you buy it from?? and if you don't mind, how much was it? also was it pretty difficult to install or fairly easy?

Got it directly from Vararam (Toll free: 1-866-507-2648). It came very quickly, like two days later. I paid either $349 or $359 plus shipping--don't remember exactly. The installation took me well over an hour but I work very deliberately to try to get things right the first time. Plus, I did some extra stuff to tie-wrap wiring out of the incoming air path. It was super easy and, so far, I am super pleased.

Let's us know on performance and mileage increases. I am thinking of putting one on my 2012 2500. I tow my Jeep from Texas to Colorado and thinking this would be a good setup. The only thing that is of some concern is how lean will it make the truck with no tune?

Smile

I don't track mileage. I have to have gas so I pump non-ethanol 89 and go. My mods are for performance. Usually though, if efficiency is increased, so is the potential for better mileage--if one's throttle habits don't ruin it. My truck is running stronger after about 45 miles of ECU "relearning" (by my notoriously unreliable butt dyno) and I continue to be happy with the intake system.

I recently read here that someone thought the Air Grabber might be a detrimental heat trap. Looking at my engine bay with the Air Grabber, that seems unlikely, especially since the factory Hemi engine cover is gone (which does look like a heat trap). That's my story. YMMV
