Well living in the south, I don't have problems with snow. We do however get our fair share of rain. With that being said I've had my Varirram for a little over 2 years now and never had water problems.

One of our clients at the dealership has had this setup on his 2014 Sport for 2 years now. We are located pretty far up north in the province of Alberta, Canada. Lots of snow during winter. He has never had any issues with this setup. He loves it and cleans the filter in spring and fall.

I had one of these on my 2012 1500 Laramie. And your concern is absolutely legitimate. When it was snowing hard or blowing around I would get snow all packed in the filter to the point that the engine could barely breathe. There would also be a lot of water leaking down in side. I ended up taking it off for the winter.

I lived in Northern New York in the Northwestern Adirondack Mountains and we get quite significant snowfall.
