I would agree with WarBaby on his comments.. if I had a perfromance truck as in a Sport or an RT this is the only intake I would buy. WE spent big bucks for the CIA on the wifes Charger to pick up 5 whole HP after the DSP tune. I just like this intake set up because it is old school and looks like the CIA's on MOPAR's of the 70's.

If one is worried about the airgrabber setup being a heat trap then all you would have to do is insulate the underside of the unit, wouldn't they? Some reflective foil tape and insulating material (possibly the foam board-type insulation?) should keep the air cooler.
I also wonder how this performs with an electric fan?

Talking Update FYI:

My truck continues to run happily but curiosity got to me and I decided to do a little test to determine how well the Vararam Air Grabber seals with the hood liner above. So, I hand brushed some ArmorAll on the top surface of the rounded, rubber "crush" seal that surrounds the air filter (see pics above) and closed the hood to see how much, if any, ArmorAll transferred to the hood liner. I reopened the hood, and to my delight, a perfect pattern of the rubber seal had impressed itself onto the hood liner. That's good proof that, except for the obvious front air intake opening, it seals ideally. In my mind, the test confirms it truly is an effective cold/ram air intake. I don't regret a penny I spent on the Air Grabber.

Thanks Vararam!
