Default Upper Glove Box Conversion Question

I've seen all the threads regarding the upgrade, have all the part numbers, etc. My problem is that when I ordered p/n 1NM00BD3AA for the upper door, I got the dark slate door that matches the filler bezel between the upper and lower boxes, not the sort of beige color I see in all the pics that matches the dashboard. I told the vendor of my issue and he immediately shipped a replacement. Unfortunately, it was exactly the same dark color. The barcode sticker on the door does not match the part number, although it does include the alphanumeric "BD3". Do I have the wrong number or did I just get the wrong part in the right box twice?

Here is the one I keep getting:

Here's the one I see on all the forums associated with the above number:

Thanks for any info/suggestions regarding the correct part..

I think I'm missing something. The first pic to me looks perfect the second looks like a mess. What are you trying to do here?

The two pics are different interior trim combos. I think the first is from a Sport. The second is from an Express that has had the upper glove box added. Each is correct for that trim level in that the glovebox door cover matches the dashboard. The Express comes from the factory with an open bin where the top GB goes and it's an easy job to convert the bin to a glove box with cover.

I want to do this mod, so if you get any information of what parts are what Tim, please come back and write it up in this thread, I am sure lots of other members would like to get that info.

Every model, except for the sport, has (at least) the "two-tone" dash with the tan and grey.

First pic is of a sport, second is of an Express/ST/Tradesman (identified by third color tan on the HVAC bezels).

fxitagntoni, do you recall if the door you ordered was the 1NM00BD3AA number?

I'm going to the dealer tomorrow and I'll stop by the parts department and see if they can shed some light on this. Maybe some parts got mislabeled somehow. The barcode labels both have mfg dates within the last couple of months... I think the hardest part of this upgrade is going to be getting the right door.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully third time will be the charm for getting the right part.

So what other parts are needed for the conversion? How much are the parts? Would love to get rid of that shelf on my Express!
