Default 18" or 24" Magnaflow on my Hemi?

Looking to just swap out my muffler and get a lil more of a deep rummble throaty sound. Dont want anything super loud, obnoxious, or just simply retarded on there that sounds like @ss. Stock'r on there right now is a smidge over 24" 2.5 inlet and 2.5 outlet. So the 24" magnaflow would just simply bolt right up to the existing inlet and outlets. But would it give me the tone im looking for??? Ive seen videos online for the 18" Magnaflows and they sounds just like what im looking for. But id have to add exhuast pipe and only found it in videos with it as a dual set up on trucks. i dont have a dual exhaust and i have only enough $$$ to direct swap my muffler.

18" part # 11256

24" part # 12286

Go with the 18. The 24 isn't goin to give you the noticeable difference you are probably looking for. Do you still have your resonator on? If so, definitely go with the 18. That will give you a low rumble and a good growl when you open it up but keep it from being too loud. If you want it even louder, then you can always just take the resonator off.

per your description, do the 24" (i run it), low muscular tone an not overbearing, keeps it quiet incab, I've run the 18" mag before and tho it sounds good on outside, the tone incab gre louder an louder to the point I wanted to swap it for a bigger mag. i truly enjoy how the rythmic v8 tone sounds on the inside with the 24"... don't use the resonator and if you don't mind not havin a tip, dump it over axle... also, it will get louder over time, just enough for my liking..

Yep, I have the exact same setup on mine and it gives a nice low rumble but it is subtle. I have been thinking about switching out the muffler for the 18 as well but worried about drone since the catback come without the resonators. From what I have heard the 22" magnaflow w/o resonators sound pretty. Lose to the 18" muffler w/ resonators on. That's why I figured you wouldnt want to go with the 24" muffler swap.
