Exclamation Audio Upgrade Help

OK I have a couple questions, I already upgraded my head unit to a Pioneer AVH-P8400BH. First issue I have is that the stock Sirius/XM Satellite isn't working. I'm using the PAC C2R-CHY4 wiring harness, but something isn't right, as far as I can tell the Antenna doesn't hook up to the head unit, is there an adapter I'm missing?

Also, I'm wanting to upgrade the stock sub and have no idea what I'm getting into. Obviously I'll have to pull out the old Amp and sub, but I'm wanting advice on a new set up. I'm looking into doing 2 12" JL Audio 12TW3's (or similar) but I don't know what I'm looking for as far as a proper Amp to power them and the required wiring (possible battery upgrade) that I'll need to do.

Also later on down the road I'm wanting to do a custom enclosure involving the center console to house 1 8" Sub (Kicker CVR84) and want to know what I'll need to run that as well when I add it to the rest of the system I know it's a lot but everyone's help is greatly appreciated

With you already changing your head unit it's very simple. Just remove the old sub and box and install a new one. Are you looking for big bass or what?

I have the fox box with 2 type R 12's ported. Pushing them with a 1200/1 amp and it slams pretty good. I then would do some nice 6.5 components in the front doors and some good coaxes in the back doors. Put an amp on them and your good to go.

If your not looking for super bass maybe just do one type R 12 in a fox box and get a 600/1 amp to push them.

Why would you want to put an 8 in the center console? If I was going to do all that work I would at least want some bass out of it.

The center console idea is mainly for show, the back of the box (part that faces the rear passengers) will have a plexi glass cut out and back lit with blue LED's. I could go to a 10 I just don't want to shake my damn center console apart as well, I'm not wanting to push that much air out of it. The box I'm going to make will basically fit right in the big "cubby hole" console part. I just want good deep bass for when I'm daily driving, but would also want a nice Pounder when I'm at shows to screw with the 300c guys I know lol Are the Type R's Shallow mounts? Did you get a separate controller to adjust the bass volume? Eventually I'll switch the door speakers but that will be later on down the road. I don't mind the mids and highs from the stock Alpine set up for now. How do I read a power rating properly (I told you I'm new to all this lol) if a sub is rated for 600W RMS, and you have 2, than you should get an 1200W Amp I presume. What's the major difference between a dual 2 Ohm and dual 4 Ohm voice coil?

Ok well the type R's are not shallow mount. The fox box comes with risers so that they fit. You raise your rear seat like 5/8 an inch it's not noticeable at all. Also yes the new type R's are 1000 watts rms so you would need a true 2000/1. I'm pushing mine with an alpine PDX-M12 it's 1200/1. You want to make sure you get the same ohm subs with 2 or 4 and then match with your amp. Most amps are power rated for different watts at different ohms. The digital amps (jl1000/1 slash and PDX-M12) push there max at 2 or 4 ohms.
