Great!
I do have the MyGig LockPick (from Sonic) and waiting on the PAC (CHY23)
I have yet to install the LockPick and I have had it for 3 weeks now. Just pure laziness...LOL!
I'm guessing it is not hard to do? just get the radio (Alpine) out and plug it in behind Head Unit....?

I also read that the PAC works better plugged after the LockPick vs the PAC and LockPick after it as it will not work this way.

Why did you have the remove the center console ring? I'm assuming you are referring to the chrome ring around the shifter?

I installed my lockpick right away but I have used just about every time I enter the truck especially now. Now, I only drive to head back to Ottawa and then back to Toronto.

Yes the Pac has to go after the lock pick or else the lock pick will not work.

That's the ring in the center console, I always get nervous with chrome pieces they usually break the easiest.

Would you say time wise on install is under 30mins for the Lockpick? if so, I will do it after work
Where did you mount or place the lockpick unit? behind the head unit on by the shifter?

The chrome trim is held by clips all around right? 2 on each side?

I would say even less than that maybe 10 minutes but since it is your first time about 30 minutes would sound about right.

The ring is held in my tabs with teeth in the thread below they explain how to take it apart forget the kick panel part

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=65991

They say just pry up on the ring instead use something that will not scratch slide along the ring until you find a tab in the corner. Then push in 90 degrees in toward the shifter to put the tab inwards at the same time pry up. After you get it out it will make more sense. There are 10 tabs 3 front back and 2 along the sides. But it's the rear corners and the rear center tabs that are the most snug in mine.

The wires are really long for the lockpick I just let mine hang and sit on the floor next to the shifter. It hasn't made a noise since I installed it. Also there is a panel that easily pops out on the side of the console where it meets the dash near the gas pedal. I ran my RCA's to there until I was ready to install, in hopes that I will be able to run the cable under the carpet from there

Hey, thanks for the link!
That will help tremendously! Im sure it will take me 30mins at most, but maybe 10

When I first installed my headlights it took me 3 hours to wire everything up.
Man, now I can do the install in under 30 mins from removal and putting everything back together, so yea, I know what you mean.

I will install this tonight as I hate not being able to play with the Navi in drive as I need to enter an address. But I have found quick and precise ways to use voice command

Yup! Without question....
I hated it at first but had to get use to it as I did not have the LockPick, or LockPick installed (still don't)

Anyone know the mounting depth for the single 10" box? I have a alpine type R and wanted to know if it will fit in the box depth wise.
