No you do not, you can purchase just the airbags, and fill them manually from an external air source, such as your home air compressor in your garage! We recommend the compressor for ease of use, but it is not necessary for the kit to work.

Air tanks are not needed either with TLC. TLC's powerful air springs level heavy loads with 20-30 psi - extremely low air pressure compared to every other system. So the compressor doesn't have to work hard and that's why TLC extends the standard 90 day compressor warranty to 2 years.

On my 06 Tacoma I started out with just the bags and manually inflated them for a number of months. It worked and was functional but then I installed the Wireless Air compressor kit from Airlift and I really found it to be much more functional. I liked the ability to adjust the setup on the fly rather then pull into a service station and pump it up manually. I can't count the number of times I'd add 5 or 10 lbs of pressure to help with gear or tools in the back. Back then the wireless compressor was not nearly as expensive as it is now unfortunately. I think Suspensionconnection.com has it going to like $450 or so just for the compressor setup (no airbags).

You can definitely save some money doing a hard-wired one. The one that came with the TLC setup has worked great for me, and it wasn't that much more then just buying the airbags alone. It took me a bit longer to install because you have to go through the firewall when installing it, and I wanted to integrate it as best as possible for esthetics. It's always something you can add later on down the line, but with the deal TLC has going I doubt you could beat it later on.

this is what I like to read, nice to see a happy customer with this product, i'm glad i made the right choice going with TLC, I opted for the compressor kit.

I'm excited, it's killing me waiting for my kit to arrive hahahaa I'm like a kid the day before xmas hahaha, I will take a pic tonight and then tomorrow after the install (provided UPS actually shows up). The sag with my trailer isn't dangerous but annoying as heck, and I have bad add and things have to be perfect, which means the truck has to look stock even under load.

my set up is 32' 10" Keystone Passport Ultra-lite 5wheel 6360 lbs, hitch 1120

I can't wait..... hurry up UPS hahahahaha

not sure yet, UPS hasn't called me to arrange brokerage, so I'm not sure yet, however I can't see it being anymore than $80 with taxes, I'm looking into brokering the package myself hrough a customs office here in Calgary.

The biggest difference I see between the two pics is the angle of your trailer. In the first pic your trailer hitch looks almost level (where it should be). In the second pic the trailer hitch is nose high which is taking the weight off your truck. Just my observation

The hitch has not been adjusted in these photos and it therefore shows how much the airbags have adjusted the ride height. Basically comparing apples to apples. Leveling the trailer is a matter of adjusting a few bolts on the weight distribution hitch. Doing so will level the trailer but will also keep the truck level too.
