Default 68RFE Didn't Engage

Just traded in a 20112500HD Denali for a 3500 Longhorn DRW 6.7. I tested the Denali DRW, Ford King Ranch DRW and the Ram. Ram got it right. More features on this truck than any other and the ride was the best of the 3. However, i have already experienced one problem and have less than 100 miles on the truck. The 68RFE Tranny would not engage yesterday morning (it was a bit like limp mode). There were no codes thrown and it is bone stock. I called the dealership and spoke w/ the service guys and they were puzzled. Anyone have any ideas what could have occurred? The truck was in my shop (70 deg F) and had sat over night. I started it up, put it in gear gave it throttle and it would not go. I shifted into reverse, park and drive a few times and it engaged. Most puzzling to me Thanks in advance.

I replied to your other post. It sounds to me like the torque converter drain back issue. I'm not sure if the 68rfe has the same issue, but the 545rfe(in the 1500's) has the issue sometimes. There is a member on here his name is transengineer, he is extremely knowledgeable on these transmissions. I'd get in touch with him.

No problem! Be sure to post back with what it is, whether I'm wrong or right, lol. It may help someone else.
