Makes since to me since the cam does not move as much the motor makes more power than stock. I can see how the stock phaser limiter is designed for fuel economy to retard the timing at low rpms and provide power under wot by advancing timing. Now if you add a cam phaser limiter which decreases the distance in degrees the cam can be manipulated it will allow the motor to spin up faster in much less time and that translates into more hp.
