I didn't notice a gian in hp with mine, but basically it opens your exhaust up well wherever you decide to put it. Sounds fantastic. I had one on my '08 and plan on putting them on my '12. I used the raceland usa e-cutout. I think its 150. www.racelandus.com

Just a y in you exhaust with one leading to nothing. Quiet when want, raucous when you don't. No more power gain than a high flow muffler. 30 bucks for the cutout, 125+ for the electric opener. Or you can open it manually for free.

The more you free up your system the better off you will be. I have BBK shorty headers no resonator running through Flowmaster Super 44. I am taking it in to a performance shop tonight and while it is there I am doing exhaust work as well as other goodies. I am replacing the factory Y pipe (Which is highly restrictive!) with a magnaflow y-pipe, changing out the Flowmaster to a 3" SI/SO 14" Magnaflow with 3" dump and adding an electric cutout. Here's what is coming with my cutout....

What brand is that kit and how much did it cost? Ive got to have some exaust work done anyways so i might as well install a cut out! I like loud! Eventually im gonna run headers when i have the extra funds! Do u like your bbk's? The cut out goes before the cat correct? Answered. My own question! I found that kit on the net! But all other questions apply!

The kit ran right around $200.00. It installs after the cats just after the Y-pipe. I like my BBK's alot, and would recommend them to anyone.
