Default Finally took the Hemi to the dragstrip!

So since racing season is in full swing, and i'm still trying to get my drag car back together, i figured i'd take the Ram to the track to see what it'd do. It's a 2007 QC 4x4 bighorn.

it has a Vararam, a diablo custom tune, and a magnaflow.

i was 15.80's all day. didn't really matter if i shifted it myself, switched between (OD off) and (Tow/haul) it ran about the same. i picked up a little in th 60' manual shifting but seemed to lose it on the later shifts.

i was a shade dissapointed but it's not too bad for a big ol'4x4 truck.

i could fudge some numbers and say it was 95 degrees, and the track is notoriously 2 tenths slow from every other track but i'm not for the number racing. maybe it had a 15.50 in it on an optimum day at a little stickier track. who knows. best was 15.80 @ 88

any thoughts? i've flirted with the header idea but i'd want long tubes and &2500 for a set of kooks that i'd need to pass E check is pretty pricy...this is just a tow rig but it's a good looking truck and you know how we gear heads can't leave well enough alone

Yea, I can agree with the "Can't Leave It Alone".
That's what I get from the wife every time come from the Garage!
I'm hoping to get mine together soon and see what she'll do!

Can you retain the cats with these? i see how the cats are clear up by the manifolds so i don't know how you'd retain them...we have E check around here.

I also have an 07 4x4 QC Bighorn. I ran a CAI, LT/Y-pipe, Cherry Bomb, 85mm TB, and SC 3865, and ran 14.9/15.0 with stock 20s, and full tank of gas.....Now I have a cam, slicks, and smaller tires, 180 t-stat, sonnax, powerwire, etc and understand track prep. You should have ran alot faster....
