Default Help! back up cam and nav screen interference

2003 RAM 1500 Quad 5.7

I recently had an issue with my back up cam not working so I replaced it. I tested it by putting the key in acc. mode and the new one worked great. Later while backing into a parking space I switched my display and it was black.
When I got home I tested it again and it was fine. I started the motor and black again. I checked the voltage at the connection with the engine off and it was 12.2v. I checked it again with engine running and it was 13.8v.
I looked in the factory service manual and the only reference to a voltage regulator was in the PCM.
Since then my nav screen is going crazy while running but fine when not. The other head unit functions are fine. I have now started hearing a hiss in my speakers when I turn the A/C on. I checked the voltage at the compressor and it was 14V.
All other functions in the truck seem to be working fine.
I also replaced the alternator with a brand new, not reman. I exchanged for another after two days but it did nothing to help.
It doesn't seem right to me the the voltages go past 12v for the reverse lights which is where the cam is powered.
I am ready to pull my hair out!

13.8 is about normal for alternator output
12 is about right for the battery check with the engine off

way back when, vehicles ran on 12 V & the voltage regulator reduced it down to 8 V, but that was before all the fancy electronics

I have not even tried to keep up with the newer electronics

My Alternator output is 14.5v which I assumed was normal. Is it also normal that the reverse lights are getting 12.2v when motor off and 13.8 when motor running?
