Default Chime Issue

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. When I have the parking lights or the headlights turned on, It chimes every time you touch brakes but there is no warning light on. The left turn signal is also flashing faster than normal and a single chime is also heard with no warning lights. It does not chime at all when touching the brakes or using the left turn signal with the lights off.

I looked to see if it was throwing out any codes but none showed up. I also checked to see if all my lights were working properly and they were, including brake lights.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? It's really annoying

Have you recently switch from "normal" lamps to LEDs?

Sometimes when you make the switch, the computer controlling all of the lights gets confused, and throws out a lamp out warning. If it's not as simple as this, I'm sorry but I can't help you.

someone more knowledgeable than I should come along shortly to add their two cents worth

good luck

Exco

Actually, I threw in LEDs in the high beams last week. Think that might be it? If so, can I not use LED lights then?

i know this response is 10 days later but from everything i have read and learned, LEDs use way less electricity than your standard halogen bulb, you can use LED's but you are going to have to put a load resistor on the bulb, i haven't personally put LEDs in my headlights or rear yet but from all the posts i've read thats the solution. superbrightleds(dot)com should have what you need. Hope this helps!
