here's the thing...alot of people "think" they want a loud exhaust until they actually have it on for awhile..then it get's old pretty quick. With an ecutout, you can choose when to have it loud and when not to... I chose the biggest magnaflow performance muffler to keep it as quiet as I can incab during normal driving, but when I feel onery, I hit the switch and open my dual cutouts and can outloud any and all of the "loud" exhaust setups anytime, any day

Im a bit confused about the 180 tstat for the 3rd gens....from what i've read here it seems like its more beneficial for the 4th gens cuz of the efan? I'm a complete noob so if anyone can explain to me what it does on the 3rd gen I would appreciate it. Thanks.

..... Well it lowers your running temp to 180*. I have it and the stock fan setup and run at right around 180*. The only time it gets anywhere close to the 203* is on a hot day idling in a parking lot. Once running down the road temps go right back down. I'm not sure what you're not understanding here?

it's very beneficial to 3rd gens as well...it will improve throttle response...stock, our trucks run about 203 degrees for emissions...the cooler our engines run, the better it performs. may sacrifice a little on mileage but the performance gain is well worth it...

efan and tstat are totally 2 different entity's, you don't need one to do the other..I ran a 180 stat for awhile before i installed an efan..
