Look at the ProComp extreme A/Ts. My fiancé had them on her F159 and got nearly 40K out of them. They are quiet, wear well and handled any terrain I threw at them very well

Have U tried Nitto TRAIL Grapplers? They are suppose to be great in mud and on the hwy. Not sure about wear though. Lots of guys on here have them.

Those tires are glorified a/t's and really dont do all that well off road situations for the price. You are paying a lot for the name. Toyo M/Ts are they same way... well Nitto and Toyo are the same company lol.

Those 2 tires look good, but some people find they wear rather quick, and they dont performance very well offroad compared to their competition

Definitely not my experience. I live on a farm and don't do a lot of "playing" but I do a bit or working....and sometimes the two coincide. That said my trails have got me through soupy stuff and thick boggy stuff that no AT could touch. I attribute a lot of it to the side lugs.

Also not my experience. I was, literally, the first guy in central Arkansas to get them back in about '10 3-4 months after they started hitting the sales floors. My truck had 39K on it when they went on, and it currently has 81K....and has the same set of tires. They've probably got another 3-5 left in em right now. For a MT that's uncanny. I grew up with Co-op Gripspurs and buckshots, in school I had buddies running Swampers, so I've had some exposure to MTs and you were lucky to get any time out of those tires. I really believe that the Trails are the best all round tire in class.

The ONE secret people seem to forget is that to get decent life from an AT or MT you've GOT to rotate them religiously. If the OP does that, there won't be problems.

Ya we do, at least a lot more that people think lol.

The last truck shop I worked at most guys were liucky to get 15-20K out of their Toyos or MTs. Granted they were more than likey not roated more than once or twice, but it tought me to assume most people dont know they are supposed to rotate big truck tires. Thats not a shot at the OP, just the general thing Ive learned dealing with people. Ive seen ProComp A/Ts and Generals drive up dunes around trucks dug in with Trail Grapplers out in Glamis. Ive never been impressed with those MTs, I think your paying a lot for the name for just an average tire.

That's a fair assessment. Can't fix stupid, but I do feel that it's unfair to judge an entire tire brand, or style, etc. just because of stupid people who don't do as their told. In my opinion it's like a guy changing the oil once on his ram and at 50K saying the motor is junk because it locked up.

I'd expect All Terrains to work better on dunes than Mud Terrains, heck I think people using MTs are morons NOT expecting to have problems in dunes....I mean look at the name of the tire style! Thing is out here there's mud and no dunes, therefore you go AT or MT.
