I'm curious to see if you can get those to stick. Being a short street tire, I think traction is going to be difficult for you. The M&H 275/50/17's and 325/45/17's are nice tires and are about 28" tall. Next on the list would be the Mickey Thompson 295/45/17. These do cost more than the Nitto's, but they are better tires for the track.

If I can find one more rim then I will probably put the nittos up front and move to a bigger slick in the back. depends on how these hook, what is m & h? sorry i'm slow sometimes!

M&H is just another drag radial manufacturer. I really like M&H because they have sizes that cater more towards us truck guys.

FYI...my buddy did put NT555s on his Roush blown 2012 5.0 Mustang, and said they hook pretty well on the street.....so, you should be pretty okay!

That 275/50 is what I was going to get...B A tire!!

Alot of great info here guys. This is why i wanted to open this thread. I work in a tire and auto place andnever heard of that tire before. I know, i know. Anyways. If these nt555 dont perform i will def. Get 1 more wheel and put the nittos on the front. Nothing lost. Hopefully weather permitting i'll have aome results from the track!

Yeah if you are only using the tires for track only then true 17" DR's like Mickey and M&H would really help with your traction at the track. Street DR with best tire wear would be nt555r drag radials but the only good truck size is 18"

Other cheap option could be winter/snow tires.

Love my nt555r's (305/45/18) on the street.
