Tim- they for some reason had us on a pro-tree so i wasnt expecting it is why the reaction times were terrible cuz they kept going back and forth.
Walt-Well I wanted to up the gearing and I figured I would try these nitto's first, I plan on getting some slicks at some point and i'll move the nittos up front so no harm no foul.

I only lost one race and it was to the same mustang I beat 3 times earlier. I spun because of water on the track and he got out of the hole quicker. I did however beat a modded 95 mustang gt, 05 mustang gt, corvette lt1, dakota with a 360 in it. single cab chevy 5.3l silverado and blew the doors off a honda s2000. so a good list of kills.

I'm wanting to get a set of decent tires for the strip and I like that these are a taller tire. Most tires I've found are around the 275-45R17 mark and just seem to small to me. I have a set of stock 17's (the chrome ones not the Aluminum looking set Moparornocar has) from a 04 Ram that I want to mount these up to and I'm just wondering if these will work because I think the rim is a 9.5" and these tires fit a 9" rim. I really don't want to chew up more of my 22's the next time I go to the track

The factory 17's are actually only 8" wide, but these will work great on those. I wouldnt hesitate to run these on anything from an 8" to 9.5" wide wheel.

What gearing do you have? You ought to get a tire that will give you the best gear ratio for the track. It would probably be more like a 26" tire(tiny) to allow you to get through all of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. You don't want to have an extra shift near the end of the track. A shift takes approximately 1/2 second so it hurts your time.

I have 3.92's. And it seemed to go pretty good at the track, esp. with my best time, the track conditions weren't even that good so it should get better just havent had time to get back!
