That was BS simply two different trucks period one modified one stock, the Raptor is a badass truck. That truck in the video was probably the 5.4L Raptor, jump on the 6.2-liter V-8 version: 411 hp and 434 lbs.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful half-ton pickup.

I raced one in my Lightning (430rwhp/537tq) and let me tell ya set up for off road it still gave me fits.

Only way to make it a equal comparison would be if they had someone do extra work on a Raptor since there is a price gap and one is a purpose built aftermarket kit and one is a showroom stock truck you can drive down the street and buy off the lot. Now if Dodge was to take a kit like that and build it and sell it at all their dealers like a Raptor it could be real comparison. That's like taking a stock showroom Power Wagon and putting it against a Ford that has been heavily modded with a ton of aftermarket parts.

Ill agree that ramrunner looks BA but the raptors are cool too. Now the ecoboost lol i have driven one and have a buddy that has one. Empty its an ok truck but pulling he absolutly hates it. He got into my 2012 2500 5.7 and we were pulling around 10,000lbs and he couldnt believe how well it pulled .I always have the tow/haul on and it never downshifts more than one gear and she keeps on trucking at 65+ mph. I would definatley be interested in a ramrunner but dont know if it would suit my needs.

How much does the ram runner cost? I was on ford page and alot of people said the runner cost more. I just build a raptor on fords home page and it cost around 55k, if you can find a ram 1500 for 35k and add the 13k price tag that I saw for the kit was going for and your still coming on top with the ram.

Have yall seen the EcoBoost torture test? I find it interesting that that engine can run WOT for an equivalent of 150k. It was even under load

No turbo could do that without grenading. I dont care how well the engine is built, ever seen how hot turbos get under even a light load, let alone WOT...

Still think uneven test IMO, if Ram produced the truck as a selling unit, then against the raptor fine, but its not, aftermarket truck against a factory unit. But Still love that Ram.

What does the Ecoboost have to do with the Raptor? I thought the new Raptors only came with the 6.2?

Raptor 6.2's are running high 14's to low 15's. How do you come up with it being the most powerful 1/2 ton? Had it come available in a rcsb, maybe then you could lay claim to that comment. Better do something with your lightning if that's all it can do. I ran two with my rcsb/3.92 gears and ran several ecoboos just as fast...all easy wins.They are good trucks for 4 wheeling, and they look pretty tough but they are too heavy to lay claim to the most powerful 1/2 ton. It's about a 2,000 lb disadvantage for that. And before you say anything stupid I'm surrounded by 2012 Raptor and ecoboost friends as well as 5.0 CC's. I think the Raptor is a good looking truck but pricey, non the less it's a little on the heavy side. I wouldn't mind having a rcsb 6.2 but that's not going to happen. I prefer the 6.2 over the Coyote 5.0, but I also prefer the 6.4 hemi over the 6.2...go figure. I would like to see Chrys produce a few Ram Runners to compare trucks and prices but I don't think that's going to happen either. Chrysler needs an old schooler like Ed Hamburger or Gary Stanton to at least assist Giles who know's or cares nothing about what the consumer wants. If he did there would not be encrypted pcms and 470hp 392's capable of easy 525hp numbers. Now they're going to embarrass us with a measly 570 hp SC 392, I can only imagine what's next. How's that Viper GTSR doing mister Giles...win any races yet...kill any vettes?
