Default Magna Flow on Reg Cab - Long Bed

Hey all -- I have still been unable to find an answer about the Magnaflow systems and long beds...does it fit? Does anyone have a system installed on a reg cab long bed?

I have an my truck came with single exhaust that I would like to ultimately have dual-- thus I purchased Flowmaster american thunder series, but was not happy...want to think of my next set up.

Would the Magnaflow 16869 fit on a single stock exhaust piping...are the 2012 "SLT" etc. true dual...I am pretty well stumped on how I want to proceed...Also, I am thinking with th at I would need the "cut-out" rear bumper..

Hey, I’m not 100% sure whether or not the CatBack Magnaflow system will bolt directly on your long bed but I don’t think so. Typically you have to have a factory dual exhaust because the catback uses the factory rubber hangers to attach the new exhaust pipes, if you don’t have those I think you’re kinda hooped... However you can always try to contact Magnaflow directly to get a more professional opinion.

If it doesn’t fit you can always do what I did to my truck. I had a custom CatBack system made up at my local muffler shop. I had a 22” 5x11 SI/DO Muffler PN# 12588 (the same one that comes in the Maggy CatBack kit) welded in with new 2.5” pipes out the rear and two 4x18 tips. The whole system cost $650 welded. Your local muffler shop will be able to make you up hangers and you can get the result you’re looking for.

My system looks and sounds great. It is VERY deep, quiet at idle and has no drone in the cab what so ever, yet you can definitely hear it rumble away when you accelerate or really put your foot in to it. I am very happy with the result and wouldn’t do it any other way.

So consider this option if the CatBack you’re after doesn’t bolt directly to your truck.

5x11x22 Magnaflow with a resonator delete // Rough Country 2.5F&1.75R level kit // 17 XD Cranks // 35x12.5x17 Toyo MT's // Air Lift 1000 // Armor Thane bed liner // Century Ultra Sport Canopy // Yakima Roof Rack // Mopar side steps // Custom Browning Mudflaps
