I know what you mean. Some don't understand but this is more for dad he's 81 now and he wants to see me get it done. I went to school for auto body and he likes to be arround when I fix his other truck or tractors arround the farm I think he enjoys watching me curse. At the end I get to enjoy the project when done but its for "big al".

Well kids she made it home now I have both of my trucks in the same zip code. Not to say it wasn't an adventure its finaly raining after 3 mon and not a good time to find out the rubber gromiets that hold the wiper arms are rotted. Surpise no wipers! Well needless to say side of the road cowel panel removle and a pice of an unused vac hose fixed. Then later the one that runs the pass side did the same thing so they got into a fight with each other and when we discoverd what happend my friend sed cool we got this poped another pice of hose fixed. So I can't complan if that's all that went wrong!

Well day one down. Fixed wiper bushings, replaced drivers side weater strip pass is on order should pick up tomorrow. Fixed one exhst leak(fingers crossed on that) had to fix rear plate light on it sence before I can tear into it my oldest will be driveing it till we can sell his truck to buy a car for him. The sooner the better. I told him if he messes mine up in any way to drive to mexico and never look back. Anyone know how to remove the ram head? Now I know sadist right? I have a practical reason for this. I have orig ram head and want to keep it! So while the boy has it so it won't get broke or stolen at school I'm going to remove it. Temperaraly that is.

Day 2 replaced pass weather strip, pulled all the nasty carpet out scrubbed the heckter out of it. Repainted floor pan. (Just surfice rust) ajusted shift linkage holds 1st longer now but just kind of slides through 2nd. Also cleaned out carb. Idles a lot nicer now! Also some gen cleaning of dask and doors. I think ill drive to work with it.

Does that include a ride home too?

Not the ride home. Once I got home though! Nice thing after I got carpet out sanded and painted floor pan and a dose of home defence I think I got all of the ants out. The big concern for my friend wasn't being dirty or stink it was being carryed off by unwanted passengers.

Sounds like some good progress already. But we need some updated pics as you work through it.

I'm trying to get photo bucket going so the curius can see how its going. And for when its done and to show cruises and car shows. Hope when weather changes, football ends the fun starts. Body work and some top end work will start. Want new cam timeing gears intake and carb. Deffinetly dule exht. And some newer wheels and tires. As far as paint it will stay the same white it is now but add tan pinstripe fact style.

I am subscribing to this thread to keep tabs on your progress. A friend of mine had an 85 black d150 shortbox in manual with a 360 cu engine. Concerning EFI, if I were you I would keep it carborated. You may have the exhaust cross over passage plugged up with carbon. Putting on a new intake manifold and new or rebuilt carborator should make it purr as long as all the rest of the engine internals are okay.
