Default salvage 09 Hemi?

Need a truck, had two Rams in the past. We're buying a 4000 lb boat.
Would you guys consider this truck or should I run?

Thanks,
Rickhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/REPAIRABLE-REBUILDABLE-SALVAGE-1500-EZ-COSMETIC-DAMAGE-CREW-HEMI-SAVE-BIG-/350569110625?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item519f8c1c61 #ht_5162wt_1167

sorry can't get the link to work. 09 hemi quad, 15K miles $16K. by all appearances it needs body work on the rear quarter panel and two new bumpers.

Not able to see the truck..does the history report reflect any other damage? Does it show only the rear panel damage/bumpers on the history report?

I assume you already know this but I'll say it anyway. Is 16k a safe limit for your budget...buying a wrecked truck means horrible resale if you plan to sell it anytime soonish.

reposting the link...

I would hesitate about buying someone else's wreck. The price is pretty good, but it's obviously been used hard, and perhaps even put away wet. If you can get the truck checked out, preferably buy a mechanic that you trust, then perhaps it'll be worth your wild... but otherwise I'd steer clear... well clear

good luck

16k? not worth it, especially when you can get a used one with as many miles for roughly 20-25k nearly loaded.

I agree here^ Not worth it at all. Spend the extra bit of money to save you in the future. Got my almost fully loaded 2wd Crew cab Hemi for 26+ttl. And in the end I'll be able to resale here in two or three years or when ever I want to and not be down an arm and a leg.

Save money now, and spend it later or just a little ways down the road...

Or spend the money now and save it later down the road when you don't know what the future holds for you and the family.

Just my .02 :P

I agree with everyone, I would never buy a vehicle with a salvage title, unless your a dealer

Something wrong with this deal. Why would an insurance company total a lightly damaged vehicle? Some other issues here I think. At any rate I agree with other posters that you can do better on the used market and that a salvage title is the kiss of death for resale value.

Agreed, there is more to this than meets the eye, don't do it

salvage title means that there is more than cosmetic damage
possibly the FRAME needed tweaking
