Well first off I don't normally post in this section but I feel like this will be decent reading for you guys to kill some time.
First off I was driving down a three lane road in Alberta when I see a 3rd gen ram stickered to the nines, SUPERCHARGED R/T everywhere on this truck. 500HP badge and a viper hood. I wouldn't mind the truck if it wasn't for the stickers everywhere, anyway we get stopped at the lights and I roll down the window to talk to the guy. I yell out vortech? (assuming he didn't have a maggie) he yells back yea, what do you have done to your truck? I assume he doesn't know what the 4th gen R/T has so I tell him just gears and tires all motor (I should've disclosed the tuner, exhaust, intake I guess oh well.) The light turns green and he pins it so in a similar fashion I pin it and slowly pull past him by 80km/hr I was about a truck length ahead and still pulling away. I guess his truck was just to heavy (4X4 and quad cab). I was pleasantly surprised with that race, and I think I really shocked the guy.
Later, on the way home from town on the highway I've got the cruise control set at 120km/hr and this white truck blasts past me (reg cab, short box). At first I thought it was just a gasser chevy as it went past and I didn't care that much. He got stuck behind a car for a second and when the car moved I saw a short blast of smoke and knew it was a diesel so I pinned it and got behind him. I followed along the highway for a while slowing to the speed limit right behind him as vehicles where occasionally in the lane, the moment they moved we both got on it and he pulled ever so slightly on the R/T. I'm going to go ahead and blame my gearing for this one, not as good from the roll as from the dig with the 4.10's and smaller then oem tires. I really liked his truck, at one point I pulled up next to him he threw out the rock on handsign I gave him a solid
and we parted paths.
All in all probably the most fun I've had with the R/T
