Default single side exhaust question

Hi Guys,
I have a trx4 with the single side exhaust and I'm wanting to replace the muffler with the 18" magnaflow. My question is, would it be better and cheaper to go the mufflex route or just order the magnaflow and have a local shop weld it in place? Also, if I go with the magnaflow what is the inlet and outlet sizes for the single exhaust?

Thanks

I'm not sure that mufflex makes a kit for the single exhaust. I think they only make the dual exhaust kits. Single exhaust is 3" diameter. I'd go with the local shop welding it in. You'll never have a leak...

Here you go check the Magnaflow Muffler types and sizes. Casing length and inlet/outlet options should provide some choices for you.

Thanks for all of your help. Do you know if the openings should be center on one side then offset on the other? Or just offset for both?

I'm not sure about that. I'd assume they are inline, so a center/center or offset/offset(same side) would work...

center should be fine with the amount of real estate you have to work with. offset is mostly used to counter any space restriction that may hinder the exhaust routing.
