I spoke with BBK again today, and they are still set for release the first week of October. Pricing is not going to go up once available. The chrome ones sell for $299 and the silver ceramic coated sell for $399.

How will these compare to the JBK Headers?

Does these bolt right up to the stock exhaust?
Do we know if it works with 4x4? As that is what I have.

If so I will be getting these. They are less then the JBA's that I was going to get.

These will be very similar performance wise to the JBA's. Only real difference between the 2 is that the JBA's are stainless, and the BBK's are not. That is where the price difference comes from. Having said that, a set of ceramic coated steel headers will last longer than most guys will keep the truck, so I dont see any drawback to them.

BBK told me that they "should" fit 4wd's, but they have not test fit them yet. I'm hoping someone local to me would be willing to try out a set on their 4wd to confirm this.

I also talked with Ashley at BBK while I was making sure they recieved the warrantied TB back and she said mid-October now on the headers. hope this isn't true but I'm waiting to see what happens before pulling the trigger on one!

Default 2WD or 4WD

I've read several comment/questions about headers fitting 4wd's as well as 2wd's. I wasn't aware that ANY engine manufacturer made their engines based on a 2wd or 4wd tranny configuration. Aren't all 4th Gen 5.7 ltr. Ram Hemis made to dyno the same off the assembly line, & if so, why would it be plausible to think the manifold configurations on the 2wd & 4wd models would be different?

the engines are the same and manufacturers give hp ratings at the flywheel not the rear wheels. because a 4wd has a transfer case, front driveshaft, etc you would naturally expect it to dyno less at the wheels because it has to turn more parts.

the reason people are asking if the headers will fit a 4wd is because sometimes there is a difference due to having a front driveshaft and the driver side manifold/cat needing to clear it.
